6 Steps to use Wisestamp like Email signature from Google Chrome

Do you want to have those cool signatures at the end of the e-mails you send? Do you want to promote your social media presence to the recipients of the email?  Yes!!! I knew that! Then why haven't you done so far? Wait! I know! You use Google Chrome? And Wisestamp (most popular Email Signature generator add-on for Firefox) doesn't support Google Chrome still. I tried to search for some Wisestamp alternative for Google Chrome till mid night yesterday, but found none. But I was determined not to leave Google Chrome for Wisestamp. Let me tell you how did I successfully added email signature in Google Chrome.

Step1: Install Wisestamp add-on in Firefox
Go to Firefox Add-on Gallery then search for Wisestamp, then click on "Add to Firefox" When installed you can see the following icon in the bottom-right corner of the Firefox browser window

Step2: Design the Signature
Click on the icon, then click on "Edit Signature"

Now you can design the desired Signature from the following window

* Image must be webhosted in Flickr/Picassa/Photobucket etc.
* Don't forget to click Apply after each change.

Step3: Copy the Signature
Click on the 'Preview' button
Select the whole signature and press ctrl+c (copy)

Step4: Install Autopen Extension in Google Chrome (BETA):
As stable version of Google Chrome doesn't support extension, install the BETA version from here.
Then install the following extension

Autopen is a google-chrome extension allowing you to create html signatures for gmail/google apps/yahoo mail.
Autopen is a google-chrome extension allowing you to create html signatures for gmail/google apps/yahoo mail(classic). It has a rich text editor and allows you to switch to pure html for more power. Create as many signatures as you want.

Features:
*Works in GMail/Google Apps/Yahoo Mail(classic)
*Create as many HTML EMAIL Signatures as you want
*Automatic insert of default signature into compose/reply box
*Rich Text Edit
*More to come

Please give us your feedback to make this extension the best. autopen@greenleaf.pro

Notes:
After updating or installing, please restart(close and reopen) google-chrome. There is a bug in chrome where the background processes are not being injected into the required pages when the extension updates. I am looking into a work around for this issue.

The latest update(0.5.5.1) requires permissions to access the Yahoo site, so Autopen may be disabled after it updates. All you have to do is go to your extensions tab and enable it.
Step5: Paste the Copied Signature in Autopen Signature Editor

Click on the Autopen icon, the dialog box with Signature Editor will open. Paste the Copied signature there. Save the signature, and set as default.

Step6: Enjoy Email Signature and Google Chrome both :-)

Now whenever you will compose/reply to your email (I use Gmail personally) you will be happy to see those cool signature at the bottom of your mail.
If you liked the post, will you mind to spend a little time Tweeting, Digging, Stumbling or Sharing in any way you like?
